Urban Drainage Modeller Opportunities – Water Teams (Leeds, Manchester, Warrington)
The Opportunity
Stantec’s water teams are seeing significant growth as part of a major expansion strategy for 2025 and beyond, with multiple AMP 8 framework appointments. We are seeking Urban Drainage Modellers to join teams across Leeds, Manchester, and Warrington on exciting projects:
- United Utilities Design Development Partnership – Supporting improvements to water and wastewater networks.
- United Utilities Specialised Network Modelling Framework – Developing, verifying, and maintaining hydraulic models.
- Yorkshire Waters Storm Overflow Alliance – Delivering sustainable solutions to reduce stormwater overflows.
- Northumbrian Water – Strategic Technical Partnership (30+ years collaboration) – Helping achieve efficiency, net-zero carbon, and nature-based solutions.
Our multidisciplinary team, spanning 175+ personnel across the UK and internationally, leads innovative projects that enhance water quality, manage urban pollution, and contribute to Stantec’s environmental commitments.
You’ll be part of a dynamic group driving technical excellence while collaborating with clients and partners to deliver high-impact results.

About You
We are looking for a Urban Drainage Modeller with:
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven proficiency in InfoWorks ICM.
- Direct experience in urban drainage modelling and infrastructure projects.
- Professional membership (e.g., ICE, CIWEM).
- Excellent communication skills:
- Ability to write technical reports and present findings (internally and externally).
- Networking experience in the water and infrastructure sector.
