The Opportunity
Join Stantec and work on innovative projects across multiple AMP cycles, from wetland solutions to catchment strategies, reducing carbon emissions & utilising the latest software & technologies.
Owing to our longstanding relationship with Northumbrian Water and a number of AMP 8 framework appointments across the UK, we have an opportunity for an Urban Drainage Modeller to join us in Newcastle.
Day to day, you can expect to be involved in a range of projects, including storm overflows, model maintenance, catchment management, operational investigations & studies, along with assisting with bids & cost estimates within our project frameworks. You will also play an important role in planning & programming urban drainage projects, ensuring technical governance & best practices are upheld.
You will be supported by your local team, as well as industry experts across the Stantec community. We are also delivering our Storm Overflows Academy to support staff development, along with engaging other disciplines in our business to encompass the full range of diverse opportunities required to deliver such an ambitious storm overflows agenda.
You'll become a key member of an interdisciplinary team made up of 175 personnel from Stantec, across over 40 UK & Ireland offices and an integrated global team in Pune, India. This is a great opportunity to join an innovative team of engineers, working on a specialist modelling framework whilst contributing to industry leading projects. You will be based from our picturesque offices in Newcastle quayside, with hybrid working pattern available to help achieve a healthy work-life balance.

About You
You will be degree qualified (or hold equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering (or other relevant subject) and ideally be a member of an industry relevant institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM. Successful candidates will demonstrate technical experience covering a wide range of urban drainage modelling activities and a working knowledge of InfoWorks ICM and other modelling / GIS packages.
