Part-Time Receptionist - Urgent Treatment Centre at Weymouth Community Hospital
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time receptionist to work within the Urgent Treatment Centre at Weymouth Community Hospital. This post is an 18-hour permanent position and follows a 4-week rolling shift pattern, working between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00, 365 days a year.

Key Responsibilities
As the first point of contact for patients coming into the department, the successful candidate will be enthusiastic and motivated, have a flexible approach to working, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Employment Requirements: A Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required, with the Trust covering the cost.
- Duties:
- Booking patients on arrival and updating health records using electronic systems.
- Filing patient data, arranging appointments, processing referrals for patient pathways, emailing, and supporting discharge letter production and distribution.
- Maintaining local standard operating procedures, managing purchasing, collecting data, and carrying out general office tasks.
- Skills Required:
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Comfortable working in a busy environment.
- Handling enquiries from patients, relatives, and clinical colleagues face-to-face, by email, and over the phone.
