The Hospital
East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC presents an exceptional opportunity for healthcare professionals seeking a rewarding career, serving as an 80-bed regional referral centre for approximately 82,000 individuals in the East Kootenay Area.
- We have 24-hour emergency and trauma services with 16 dedicated beds, and a 6-bed ICU.
- The high-acuity-response-team (HART) team provides mobile critical care for rural patients requiring advanced medical support, to stabilize and transfer patients to higher-level care.
- This four-floor facility includes a level 3 laboratory, complete with a recently purchased PCR machine and MALDI/TOF.
- In the new MRI suite, there are new MRI and SPECT CT machines, with a new CT scanner earmarked for purchase.
- Upcoming construction projects and facility upgrades include a new NICU, renovation of the emergency department triage, and new oncology and renal departments.

Benefits and Incentives
- May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:
- Retention Premium 14%
- Retention Flat Fee $$21,696.00
- Relocation Funding Available $$9,000 for moves within BC, $12,000 for moves within Canada, and $15,000 for those relocating from outside Canada.
- Recruitment Incentive $$20,000
