At Vertu Mercedes Benz of Slough we are currently recruiting for a Used Car Sales Manager to join our team! We are offering a £42,500 basic salary OTE £67,500 plus company car and company benefits.

We are now seeking an ambitious and driven Used Car Sales Manager to lead our Used Car Department and play a key role in the continued success of our business.
About The Role
As Used Car Sales Manager, you will take full responsibility for the performance of the Used Car Department, with complete accountability for departmental profit and loss. You will lead and inspire a successful sales team, drive sales performance, maximise profitability and ensure the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
A significant element of the role will involve used vehicle acquisition and stock management, making previous vehicle buying experience essential.
The successful candidate will be highly commercial, customer-focused and passionate about developing a high-performing culture built on accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Full P&L responsibility for the Used Car Department.
- Manage all used car stock acquisition, buying activity and stock turn.
- Oversee vehicle preparation processes to ensure vehicles are retail ready within agreed timescales.
- Maintain outstanding used car display standards, both physical and digital.
- Lead all used car marketing campaigns and promotions to maximise sales opportunities.
- Ensure exceptional enquiry management and conversion performance across all channels.
- Drive used car sales performance to achieve and exceed volume, profit and customer satisfaction targets.
- Manage trade vehicle disposal effectively and profitably.
- Drive finance and product penetration while maintaining the highest compliance standards.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, processes and regulatory requirements.

About You
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous experience as a Used Car Sales Manager, Used Car Buyer, Business Manager or similar leadership role within automotive retail.
- Strong used vehicle purchasing and appraisal experience.
- A proven ability to deliver sales growth and improved profitability.
- Excellent leadership and people development skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
- An analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- The ability to perform under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of compliance and process adherence.
- A passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience.
