An unique opportunity has arisen for a Used Car Sales Manager to join the busy Sales department at our Lloyd Jaguar Land Rover based in Newcastle.

We are seeking motivated and energetic candidates with a proven record and experience in driving a used car result. If you’re passionate about the industry and ready to bring your drive to a dynamic team, we want to hear from you!

Salary: Basic salary with £72,000 OTE + Company Car

Hours: 45+ hours per week

Role Responsibilities

  • To deliver results and maximise profit in all areas of responsibility.
  • To translate business strategy into operational plans for new and used car sales.
  • To develop and agree sales plans and budgets, including new cars, used cars and accessories and all related items, to achieve marketing, sales and financial targets.
  • To implement effective policies and procedures in order to maximise sales opportunities.
  • To inspire, provide leadership and effectively manage staff in order to maximise productivity and meet or exceed sales and profit targets.
  • To ensure delivery of excellent customer service within all areas of responsibility.
  • To work effectively with all other key personnel within the retailer to establish and implement best practice and ensure our customers receive exceptional customer service.
  • To ensure full compliance to FCA guidelines on the selling of financial services products by all relevant staff

The ideal Used Car Sales Manager

  • Proven experience as a Used Car Sales Manager or Senior Sales Manager within the motor industry.
  • A genuine passion for delivering premium levels of customer service.
  • Strong knowledge of Auto Trader, digital marketing, and online vehicle merchandising.
  • Experience using market data to manage pricing and maximise stock performance.
  • A successful track record of leading, motivating and developing experienced sales teams.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • High levels of organisation, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • The ability to inspire a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
