User Acquisition & Analytics Lead
dentsu Gaming (London – Permanent – Full-Time)
About the Role
At dentsu Gaming, we combine deep cultural insight and innovative strategies to deliver impactful gaming marketing and media solutions for the world’s leading brands. We collaborate with industry giants like Roblox, Sony, Nintendo, Namco Bandai, Overwolf, and Anzu to help brands authentically engage gaming audiences—spanning in-game advertising, branded integrations, and game development.
We’re seeking a highlyamboitance, data-driven leader to become the User Acquisition (UA) & Analytics Lead in our London office. Your role will bridge performance growth, strategic decision-making, and data optimisation, ensuring scalable player acquisition across our gaming client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
1. User Acquisition Strategy & Paid Growth
- Own end-to-end UA strategy across global gaming titles and markets, managing multi-million budgets across:
- Social platforms: Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, Google
- SDK networks: AppLovin, Unity, Mintegral
- DSPs (Demand-Side Platforms), Apple Search Ads, and creator ecosystems
- Define testing roadmaps, scaling methodologies, and channel mix for both new launches and live titles
2. Analytics, Data & Performance Reporting
- Build and manage real-time dashboards tracking key KPIs:
- Cost Per Install (CPI), Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), LTV, retention rates
- Leverage SQL, BI tools (Tableau, Power BI), and visualisation platforms to extract actionable insights
- Develop data models and predictive performance frameworks to guide decision-making
- Support client-ready reports and strategic pitches with data-driven findings

3. Market & Audience Research
- Conduct ongoing trend analysis in gaming culture, consumer behaviour, and competitor strategies
- Translate insights into audience segmentation models and strategic go-to-market frameworks
- Stay ahead of industry shifts to enhance campaign planning and measurement rigor
4. Creative Testing & Optimisation
- Design A/B tests at scale for creatives, ad formats, and messaging
- Partner with Creative teams to align assets with platform requirements (TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and maximise conversion
- Drive a culture of rapid, data-informed iteration to improve cross-channel performance
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the bridge between Analytics, Creative, Media, Accounts, and Product Teams
- Work with Product to ensure proper UA tracking for new titles and feature releases
- Contribute data-driven insights to client presentations and strategic pitches
- Strengthen relationships with advertising partners (creators, DSPs) to unlock unique testing opportunities
6. Programmatic & Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM)
- Implement and refine incrementality testing and MMM (Marketing Mix Modelling) to measure holistic channel impact
- Evaluate programmatic buying strategies, including private marketplace (PMP) access
- Build a business case for MMM adoption across our gaming client portfolio

Qualifications & Skills
Essential
- Several years of proven experience in:
- User Acquisition (UA), performance marketing, or analytics
- Multi-channel gaming or digital marketing portfolios
- Hands-on expertise with MMPs (AppsFlyer, Adjust, or Singular)
- Strong background in global campaign execution or leadership
- Proficiency in SQL, data visualisation tools (Tableau/Power BI), and software like DSP platforms
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
- Deep familiarity with gaming industry platforms (Roblox Creator Hub, Steam Ads, etc.)
- Experience working with liveOps/game telescoping teams to integrate UA insights
- Certification in copywriting, algorithmic tracking (Idle Games, GameFoundry), or gaming trends
