About Us

Solirius Reply, part of the Reply Group, delivers technical consultancy and application delivery to our clients in order to solve real world problems and allow our clients to respond to an ever-changing technical landscape. We partner closely with our clients, embedding our consultants into their businesses in order to provide a bespoke service, allowing us to truly understand our clients’ needs.

It is this close collaboration with our clients that has enabled us to grow rapidly in recent years and will drive our ambitious future growth plans. We currently have over 300 consultants working with a variety of key clients from both the public and private sectors such as the Ministry of Justice, Department for Education, FCDOS, UEFA, International Olympic Committee and Mercedes Benz; with plans to increase our client base further in the near future.

We operate as a flat organisation and believe in trusting and supporting our team to operate independently. We pride ourselves on being specialists at what we do, making the most of our consultants’ expertise in their fields in order to provide a best-in-class service to our clients. All our consultants have the opportunity to work on a range of different projects, providing a broad range of knowledge on which to develop their careers and progress in the direction they choose.

About You

You are a motivated and adaptable professional with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for using technology to solve real-world problems. You enjoy working in collaborative, agile teams and take pride in delivering high-quality solutions that make a tangible impact. With strong communication skills and a consultative approach, you’re comfortable engaging with clients, understanding their needs, and translating them into effective outcomes. The role

We’re looking for a User Researcher to join our multidisciplinary team designing and delivering innovative digital products and services for our Government and Private Sector clients.

You’ll be a great listener and communicator with a creative, structured and logical approach towards understanding problems and designing inclusive, human-centred experiences.

We’re specifically looking for a pragmatic team player with an appreciation of both business and user needs, who’s keen to develop their ‘T-shaped’ skills and is not afraid to take on new challenges.

Requirements

  • You have demonstrable experience of developing and carrying out user research plans that produce relevant insights and evaluation of experiences and outcomes.
  • You’re experienced in a range of user research methodologies and broader research approaches.
  • You know how to map and engage with different stakeholder groups.
  • You understand how to carry out research responsibly and ethically, ensuring protection of participant privacy.
  • You understand the importance of inclusive research and can demonstrate creative approaches for recruiting a diverse range of research participants.
  • You’ve worked with other disciplines to define hypotheses and test concepts, helping shape new products, services and experiences.
  • You’ve managed remote and in-person usability testing throughout the agile development lifecycle.
  • You’re able to lead and participate in the analysis and synthesis of research data and findings, and communicate insights in an engaging and concise way to engage stakeholders in data-informed decisions.
  • You can define key metrics and measurements used to evaluate the impact of products and services and inform ongoing enhancements.
  • You’re able to support and coach teams and stakeholders in the use of a range of user research methods, analysis and synthesis techniques and approaches to presenting and sharing findings.
  • User-centred design and agile working
  • You’re able to produce concise artefacts (e.g. personas, journey maps, user stories) to help communicate user and business needs.
  • You’re experienced at working with agile development teams and stakeholders to co-design and deliver products and services to meet user needs.
  • You advocate for and ensure high standards of usability, accessibility and inclusivity for products and services.
  • You’ve a detailed understanding and experience of working to the Government Service Standard. (desirable)
  • Communications and productivity
  • You have excellent verbal/written, listening and facilitation skills and are confident in communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • You have the technical literacy to understand (at a high-level) technical processes, concepts and constraints.
  • You have the ability to recognise and work within project constraints, supporting colleagues to ensure delivery of value to the client and their users.
  • You’re keen to support the development of Solirius’ internal culture, tools, processes and growth opportunities.
