Job Description

We're looking for a mid-weight User Researcher to join our Product Design team at Experian. You'll be joining a small, growing User Research team, playing a key role in shaping the user experience across two of our product domains. You'll help us understand our customers deeply and make confident, evidence-based decisions.

Working in-house as part of a cross-functional product team, you'll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to plan and run research that drives meaningful impact from early discovery through to post-launch evaluation.

You'll report into our Lead User Researcher and be supported to grow your craft, stretch your thinking, and help define what great research looks like at Experian.

What you'll be doing

  • Partner with designers and product managers to identify research opportunities across the end-to-end product lifecycle.
  • Plan and conduct research using a mix of methodologies, from usability testing and in-depth interviews to card sorts and concept testing.
  • Balance generative and evaluative research to uncover needs, validate ideas, and inform product strategy.
  • Apply lean research principles, delivering just enough insight, at the right time, to move teams forward with confidence.
  • Synthesise findings into clear, actionable insights that influence product direction and measurable outcomes.
  • Champion the voice of the customer across teams, helping others see how research drives impact.
  • Contribute to evolving our research practice, operations, tools, and ways of working across domains.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
