User Researcher – Beta Phase Delivery

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled User Researcher to lead and deliver user research activities throughout the Beta phase of product development. This role focuses on:

  • Understanding user needs
  • Generating actionable insights
  • Ensuring user-centred design principles are embedded in the delivery lifecycle

You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to shape services using real user feedback and evidence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead user research activities throughout the Beta phase of delivery
  • Identify and recruit relevant user groups aligned to target audiences
  • Plan and conduct research using a range of:
    • Qualitative methods
    • Quantitative methods
  • Facilitate user sessions such as:
    • Interviews
    • Usability testing
    • Surveys
  • Gather, analyse, and synthesize user insights into clear, actionable outputs
  • Communicate research findings effectively to:
    • Cross-functional teams
    • Stakeholders
  • Influence product decisions by advocating for user-centred design
  • Collaborate closely with:
    • Product managers
    • Designers
    • Developers
  • Ensure research activities align with Agile delivery practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of research methods and processes

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong experience in user research within digital product environments
  • Proficiency in a variety of user research methods and techniques
  • Ability to translate research findings into actionable insights
  • Experience in:
    • Participant recruitment
    • User segmentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies

Communication & Collaboration

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
  • Ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills

Delivery & Impact

  • Ability to manage research activities independently and deliver outcomes
  • Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams
  • Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on Beta phase or live service improvements
  • Familiarity with tools for:
    • Research
    • Prototyping
    • Analytics
  • Background in:
    • UX
    • Human-Computer Interaction
    • Psychology
    • Or related fields
