The Role

We seek a User Researcher to join our Experience Design (XD) team ( comprising Product Design, User Research, Content Design and Design Systems), with a focus on our Consumers – home hunters.

Responsibilities:

Strategic & Tactical Research

  • Partner with the Lead Product Designer & Head of Product to:
    • Lead research projects shaping long-term Consumer experience strategy, and key objectives.
    • Conduct qualitative + quantitative research to align product direction.
  • Act as the user’s voice, ensuring their needs—balancing proximity with business goals—are central across our consumer product development.
  • Conduct long-term domain research and future-viewing to cover current and next-focused initiatives.

User Research Operations

  • Build and maintain:
    • Research frameworks (shared personas, tested methods, recruitment)
    • User recruitment protocols for diverse, segmented audiences
  • Refine our internal repositories, embedding research early in design.
  • Mentor product designers.
  • Collaborate with Market Research, Data & Analytics, Customer Experience to:
    • Triangulate insights into strategic decisions.
    • Share findings through actionable, communicable formats.

Collaboration & Ongoing Engagement

  • Represent User Research in industry events (e.g., PropertyMark).
  • Socialise insights via clear visual/ storytelling aids, ensuring accessibility across all stakeholders.
