Full time | Permanent

Salary: £25,515 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday

Start date: September 2026

We are seeking to appoint a User Support Technician to join our Technical Services team at Cheadle Hulme School from September 2026.

There may be an option for the successful candidate to complete an apprenticeship as part of this role.

Overview:

The post-holder is one of the first points of contact within the Technical Services department, providing proactive technical support across the School to ensure that technology is utilised to maximise the learning opportunities for the students.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Previous experience of technical support in an education or business environment
  • Excellent technical experience and expertise of working with a large network of workstations, mobile devices, cloud systems, and Audio/Visual technology
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in the range of operating hardware and software across the School
  • Experienced in resolving operating failures and detecting and remedying faults
  • Experienced in project work to upgrade hardware and software and liaising with users to minimise disruption
  • Knowledge of health and safety implications associated with the role
