King's CareerConnect is our online careers portal. It allows students, recent alumni, staff and employers to engage with our services and make the most of what we offer.

What can you do on King's CareerConnect?

  • Access our vacancy board to search for part-time work, placements, internships and graduate-level opportunities from employers targeting King's students and recent alumni.
  • Set alerts and reminders for new opportunities and events according to your personal preferences and career goals and receive targeted information to your King's inbox.
  • Book careers or application guidance appointments, practice interviews and careers lounges.
  • View our events calendar and book attendance at our fairs, masterclasses, presentations, workshops, panels and other events.
  • Undertake various pathways, including King's Skills for the Future, Sector Pathways and 'How to Engage with Employers' or participate in our King's Experience Awards.
  • Access our Careers Discovery Feed containing a wealth of information, resources and content to help you with your career search, ideas and inspiration.
  • Access your 'Careers Passport', which gives an overview of your engagement with the Careers team and events.
  • Explore various subscription services designed to help you with virtual interviews, practice psychometric tests, case interviews, exploring international careers and more.

Offer holders & incoming students

Access to King's CareerConnect is available to enrolled students at King's only.

Your access to King's CareerConnect will be available roughly 48 hours after you have completed the full enrolment task and received your King’s ID card (either physically or digitally).

Please be patient as the King's student records system updates overnight into King's CareerConnect and only email us if you do not have access five days after you complete enrolment.

How to access King's CareerConnect as a current student

If you are a current student, you will automatically be registered for King's CareerConnect with your 'K' number (for example, 'k012345678') once you have enrolled online and received your King's ID card (either physically or digitally).

To Log Into King's CareerConnect:

  • Visit kcl.ac.uk/careerconnect
  • Log in using your King's network username (your 'K' number) and password.
  • If prompted, complete or update your profile and notification settings. This helps tailor your experience and ensure you're kept up-to-date with the latest newsletters or alerts. You can update or change these in your profile settings at any time.
  • Use the menu along the top to navigate to the different sections of King's CareerConnect and search for jobs, events, pathways, appointments, your Careers Discovery Feed and more.
  • Click 'Resources' in the top-right corner to access our online careers tools, including CareerSet, Shortlist.Me, GraduatesFirst, CaseCoach, eCareersGrad, The Pay Index and other jobs portals.

You will also have the option to sign up for vacancy alerts from a separate service called targetjobs which is not run by King's Careers & Employability.

You'll retain access throughout your studies, until a few weeks after you complete your course, including if you are on a year/semester abroad or in industry.

How to access King's CareerConnect as alumni

If you graduated in the last two years, visit kcl.ac.uk/careerconnect

  • Sign in with an existing account, or click 'Register' and complete the registration form with your King's ID number and email address you wish to use to retain access.
  • Our team will review your request and confirm access, usually within five working days.
  • If prompted, complete or update your profile and notification settings. This helps tailor your experience and ensure you're kept up-to-date with the latest newsletters or alerts. You can update or change these in your profile settings at any time.

You will have access for up to two years following the completion of your course. Visit our careers page for alumni for more information on the services you can access.

How to access King's CareerConnect as academic or professional services staff

  • Visit kcl.ac.uk/careerconnect
  • If accessing King's Career Connect for the first time, you will need to register for an account.
  • Once registered, you will be able to use single sign-on to gain access to our event calendar, vacancy platform and various careers education tools to support your students and researchers.

You will have access for up to two years from when you register. After two years, if you haven’t logged in for three months, your account will be removed automatically.

How to access King's CareerConnect as research staff

  • Visit kcl.ac.uk/careerconnect
  • Log in using your King's network username (your 'K' number) and password.
  • If prompted, complete or update your profile and notification settings. This helps tailor your experience and ensure you're kept up-to-date with the latest newsletters and alerts. You can update or change these in your profile settings at any time.

You will have access for up to two years from when you register. After two years, if you haven’t logged in for three months, your account will be removed automatically.

How to access King's CareerConnect as an employer

  • Visit www.kcl.ac.uk/careerconnect
  • Select 'Organisation sign in' and then either sign in with existing account, or click 'Register' to register your organisation.
  • If registering your organisation, complete the registration form with your own details and those of your organisation.
  • Our Employer Engagement function will review your request and activate your account, usually within two working days.
  • Once logged in, select your notification preferences, including whether or not you wish to receive our regular newsletter.
  • You can then post an opportunity, which will stay pending until we have approved your organisation account. If we have questions about your registration or postings, we will get in touch with you.
  • Once approved and logged in, use the top menu to post further opportunities or view and book events, such as fairs, speed meets and presentations.

You can update or change these in your profile settings at any time in accordance with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Statement.

I'm having problems logging in - what should I do?

If you are experiencing issues accessing the system please let us know so that we can investigate it for you.

When you contact us, please include a screenshot of any error messages, the web browser you’re using (for example, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Firefox), where you’re trying to access the site from (such as on campus, in a student residence or off site), and whether you’ve had any issues logging into other King’s websites that use your single sign-on, such as KEATS.

What is targetjobs?

targetjobs is a commercially provided product from our supplier and data processor, Group GTI.

It is not part of King's Careers & Employability and is not associated with using King's CareerConnect, however you may be provided the option to register for this service when you create or update your profile.

You must opt-in to register for targetjobs and neither King's Careers & Employability, nor King's College London accepts any responsibility for the content of its provision or its use of your details.
