Experienced Tax Director – US/UK Cross-Border Tax Team (London)

One of our clients is seeking an experienced Tax Director to join their US/UK Cross-Border Tax team in London, working with High Net Worth individuals, entrepreneurs, partnerships, trusts, and estates on sophisticated international tax matters.

Role Overview
As a Tax Director, you'll:
- Lead a diverse portfolio of clients with complex US and UK tax affairs.
- Drive business growth, manage key client relationships, and support the development of a market-leading US/UK Cross-Border Tax practice.
- Combine technical excellence, commercial leadership, and people management.
- Make a meaningful impact within one of the industry’s leading private client teams.
What You’ll Do
- Lead complex US/UK cross-border tax advisory and compliance engagements.
- Manage a portfolio of High Net Worth individuals, entrepreneurs, partnerships, trusts, estates, and other internationally focused private clients.
- Build and strengthen long-term client relationships while acting as a trusted advisor.
- Drive business development opportunities through your network and collaboration across the firm.
- Deliver technically complex consulting projects with a practical, commercial approach.
- Coach, mentor, and develop managers and junior team members.
- Contribute to strategic and operational leadership of the US/UK Cross-Border Tax team.
- Support team growth, retention, and talent development initiatives.
- Oversee portfolio management, financial performance, and engagement delivery.

What We’re Looking For
- Significant experience at Director level or within a similar leadership position in professional services.
- Strong technical expertise across US and UK private client taxation.
- Proven experience advising High Net Worth individuals, entrepreneurs, partnerships, trusts, and estates on complex cross-border tax matters.
- Ability to lead complex client relationships and deliver exceptional client service.
- Strong business development and commercial leadership skills.
- Experience in leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational, project management, and commercial acumen.
Salary
Compensation package of up to £160,000.
