Tax Director – US/UK Cross-Border Tax Team (London)

About the Role

One of our esteemed clients is seeking an experienced Tax Director to join their US/UK Cross-Border Tax team in London. You will work closely with High Net Worth individuals, entrepreneurs, partnerships, trusts, and estates to deliver complex international tax solutions while driving team growth and commercial success.

Responsibilities

Your core duties will include:

  • Leading complex cross-border tax advisory and compliance engagements with US/UK alignment
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of High Net Worth individuals, entrepreneurs, partnerships, trusts, and estates
  • Building and strengthening long-term client relationships while acting as a trusted advisor
  • Driving business development through networking and collaboration with the firm’s service lines
  • Delivering technically sophisticated consulting projects with a commercially focused approach
  • Coaching and developing mid-level managers and junior team members
  • Overseeing strategic leadership of the US/UK Cross-Border Tax practice
  • Supporting team growth, retention, and talent development initiatives
  • Managing financial performance and engagement delivery across client portfolios

Requirements

To succeed in this high-impact leadership position, you should:

  • Have significant experience at Director level or in a senior leadership role within professional services
  • Possess strong technical expertise in US and UK private client taxation
  • Demonstrate proven experience advising High Net Worth individuals, partnerships, trusts, and estates on complex cross-border tax matters
  • Showcase leadership skills in managing client relationships, delivering exceptional service, and driving commercial growth
  • Have experience in business development, team mentorship, and leadership
  • Exhibit excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrate strong organisational, project management, and commercial acumen
