Utilities Manager
Preston, England, United Kingdom (On-site)
Multi Utility Coordinator (Office Based)
Location: Preston
Job Type: Full-time
We are looking for an experienced, organised, and proactive Multi Utility Coordinator to join a well established and expanding Multi-Utilities business based in Preston.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with industry experience who is ready to take ownership of a varied and influential office-based role. Working closely with the directors and operational teams, you'll be responsible for coordinating projects, managing commercial and administrative processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting the successful delivery of multi-utility schemes from inception through to completion.
As the business continues to grow, you'll have genuine opportunities to develop your career, take on greater responsibility, and become a valued member of the management team.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate utility design submissions and approvals with multiple network operators.
- Manage Street Works notices, permits, and Section 50 applications.
- Oversee project completion, ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted on time.
- Manage utility accreditations and maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Coordinate asset adoption processes with utility providers.
- Administer Health & Safety documentation and support company compliance.
- Monitor operational schedules and coordinate daily workforce activities.
- Prepare and submit utility applications, points of connection, and network diversion requests.
- Support the estimating team by preparing and managing multi-utility quotations.
- Manage purchase orders, cost coding, and approve supplier invoices.
- Monitor project costs and assist with commercial reporting and cost control.
- Prepare and issue client invoices.
- Work closely with the directors to improve operational processes and drive business efficiency.

About you:
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience within the Multi-Utility industry.
- A solid understanding of utility connections, network design, and project delivery.
- CAD experience (essential).
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project costs and financial administration.
- Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors, and network operators.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant industry software.
- A proactive, positive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
