Job Description
Utility Surveyor – Coventry
Are you an experienced Utility Surveyor looking to advance your career in a dynamic and supportive environment? Based in Coventry, we are seeking a skilled professional to join our team, helping deliver accurate and reliable utility mapping and survey services across a variety of projects.
This role offers the opportunity to:

Key Responsibilities
The tasks you will undertake include (but are not limited to):
- Conducting GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) and utility mapping surveys using industry-leading equipment
- Undertaking investigative utility surveys, documenting findings, and completing paperwork in accordance with company procedures
- Collaborating with site surveyors, contractors, suppliers, and clients
- Creating utility survey reports
- Carrying out quality control checks and issuing data to CAD
- Reviewing and checking all survey drawings before they are issued to customers
- Mentoring and training trainee and junior surveyors, as required
- Providing technical support to project managers and internal staff

Note: Travel across the UK is common. Candidates must be open to working away from home during the week and accommodating night or evening shifts as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate:
- Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience of underground utility tracing and GPR
- Experience working across diverse environments and complex surveys
- Ability to post-process GPR data
- A working understanding of PAS 128:2014 specification surveys
- Ability and willingness to work flexibly, including unsociable hours
- A full UK manual driving licence
- Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card
It is desirable to have some or all of the following:
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Microsoft Word expertise
- ProQual (NVQ) Level 3 qualification
- SSSTS (Site Safety Supervisor Training Scheme) certification
