The Role

Are you an experienced Utility Surveyor looking to advance your career in a dynamic and supportive environment? Based in Coventry, we are seeking a skilled professional to join our team, helping deliver accurate and reliable utility mapping and survey services across a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities

The tasks you will undertake include (but are not limited to):

  • Conducting GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) and Utility Mapping surveys using cutting-edge equipment
  • Undertaking investigative utility surveys and conducting paperwork in accordance with company procedures
  • Engaging with other site surveyors, contractors, suppliers, and clients
  • Creating Utility Survey Reports
  • Carrying out appropriate quality control checks and issuing data to CAD
  • Checking all survey drawings before they are issued to our customers
  • Mentoring and training Trainee & Junior Surveyors, as required
  • Providing technical support to Project Managers and internal staff members

Note: Travel across the UK is very common. Candidates must be open to working away from home during the week and accommodating night or evening shifts as needed.


Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of underground utility tracing and GPR
  • Experience working across a wide variety of environments and on complex surveys
  • Ability to post-process GPR data
  • Working knowledge/understanding of PAS 128:2014 specification surveys
  • Flexibility to work adaptively
  • A full UK manual driving licence
  • A CSCS Card

It is desirable (but not essential) that you also have:

  • Ability to use CAD software
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word
  • ProQual (NVQ) Level 3
  • SSSTS certification
