Experienced Utility Surveyor – Join RPS
Are you a skilled Utility Surveyor looking to advance your career? RPS is seeking a professional to deliver top-quality geospatial data for diverse projects across the UK and Ireland.
About The Role
In this dynamic, field-based role, you’ll work both independently and as part of a collaborative team on projects spanning from routine to highly complex. Using state-of-the-art equipment, you’ll support the delivery of precise field data for:
- Underground Utility Mapping
- Drainage Surveys
- Advanced surveying services
Responsibilities
- Lead and support survey projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope
- Collaborate with Senior Surveyors and Survey Managers
- Follow technical guidelines to produce quality-controlled survey deliverables
- Adhere to safe working practices in varied environments
- Execute both supervised and unsupervised work, following risk assessments
- Engage with public, team members, and clients
- Identify and escalate operational, safety, and commercial risks
- Comply with company procedures, including safe driving practices
- Ensure compliance with quality standards

Requirements
Qualifications:
- QCF Level 3 in Utility Mapping/Surveying or relevant HNC/Diploma
- OR proven equivalent experience
Skills & Experience:
- Understanding of PAS128 standards
- Proficiency in using:
- Surveying equipment: Electromagnetic, Ground Penetrating Radar
- Software: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal English skills
- Proactive, problem-solving approach with a willingness to learn
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility in working hours and excellent time management
