The UTS Academic Merit International Scholarship is available to support commencing international students who wish to undertake an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney. This scholarship is designed to recognize and reward academic excellence among international students.

- Scholarship Stipend Value: 20% of UTS Tuition Fees (commencing in 2025 intakes), 15% of UTS Tuition Fees (commencing in 2026 intakes)

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
- Remain an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, or permanent resident of Australia)
- Meet all admission requirements for the selected UTS undergraduate (including Honours programs) or postgraduate coursework program
- Commence full-time and on-campus (Sydney)
- Must not be studying a UTS online degree or distance degree
- Must not be a citizen of a country in the South Asia region
- Must not be a recipient of other UTS scholarships or grants or the UTS Alumni Advantage Program for the duration of this Scholarship
- Must not be a government-sponsored student

For undergraduate admission, academic merit in the qualification used as the basis of admission for entry into the selected UTS undergraduate program will be considered. For postgraduate admission, academic merit in the most recently completed and recognised qualification or the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT Exam) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE General Test) (both tests accepted for admission into UTS Business School programs only) for entry into the selected postgraduate coursework program will be considered.

No separate scholarship application or documentation is required. UTS Future Learner Recruitment and Admissions will automatically consider all commencing international students applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney for this Scholarship.

- Applicable to international students applying to commence in 2025 and 2026 intakes
- Campus studies include face-to-face and/or online (remote) learning in all degrees except online degrees and distance mode degrees.
- Offers will be authorised by UTS Future Learner Recruitment and Admissions.
