WHAT WE DO AT LAB?
We’re a company that cares about the humans behind the tech. At LAB, we believe in the power of digital to reshape the world for good. That belief drives the work we do every day, and we're proud to support our team as they create innovative solutions that make a real impact for our clients.
As part of the Human First Collective – alongside Reflect Digital (digital marketing) and Aspiration Digital (our non-profit digital skills conference for students) – we’ve built a culture that encourages people to love what they do and do what they love. We’re deeply committed to the growth and development of our people, and we take pride in creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
Our shared mission is grounded in a deep understanding of human behaviour, which we apply to the design and delivery of digital solutions that challenge the norm and help reshape the digital world.
With a broad portfolio of work – from major household brands to disruptive startups, and even internal initiatives aimed at making the world a better place – every day brings new challenges, opportunities, and inspiration.
THE ROLE / TEAM
At LAB, we’re all about creating outstanding digital solutions with people at the heart of everything we do. Sound like your kind of vibe? Great! Let’s talk about you.
This is no cookie-cutter job ad because you’re no cookie-cutter UX-er. As our UX Researcher & Strategist, you’ll have the freedom to flex your analytical and creative muscles, blending the art and science of research methodologies, human behaviour, brand intelligence and digital product solutions. We’ll ensure you’re equipped with all the support, training, and mentoring you need to thrive, grow, and have fun while you’re at it.
We’re looking for someone with strengths in user research, user experience and accessibility, but if you think you don’t quite cover it all yet, we’d still like to hear from you. You might be a researcher with established experience in qual, quant and product roadmaps, or someone looking to grow and flex your skillset. While not essential, if you have an interest and skills in copywriting and brand, this would be a great advantage.
You’ll collaborate with our teams and clients to define, evidence and optimize memorable digital experiences that are as functional as they are beautiful. You’ll shape experiences that meet audience needs, align with business goals, and push the boundaries of technology and creativity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
