Role Overview

We seek a talented UX Writer to join a Web Operations (Digital Experience - DX) team, supporting a high-profile automotive client. As part of a multidisciplinary team (including UX/UI Designers, Content Strategists, Researchers, SEO specialists, Analytics, Developers, and Product teams), you’ll shape customer experiences through clarity, intuition, and strategic content design.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of UX, content strategy, and customer experience. You’ll play a pivotal role in:

  • Crafting digital content that enhances usability, accessibility, and engagement across transactional journeys, product experiences, support content, and campaigns.
  • Ensuring seamless content alignment with user needs, business goals, SEO, and operational efficiency.

The role demands a blend of technical and creative skills, with a focus on how content shapes seamless digital interactions in complex web environments.


Key Responsibilities

UX Writing & Content Design

  • Develop clear, concise, and customer-centred writing for:
    • Navigation, transactional journeys, forms
    • Support content, microcopy, onboarding flows
    • Notifications and interaction states
  • Collaborate with UX/UI Designers to embed content within digital experiences and journeys
  • Simplify complex automotive or technical information into intuitive user-facing copy
  • Contribute to customer journey optimisation for desktop, tablet, and mobile
  • Align content with usability, accessibility, discoverability, and experience quality
  • Work within Agile delivery workflows (using tools like Figma)

Content Optimisation & Delivery

  • Support content optimisation initiatives using:
    • Analytics, behavioural data, and customer feedback
    • A/B testing and experimentation outcomes
  • Partner with SEO specialists to ensure search-intent alignment and best practices
  • Lead content audits, reviews, and improvements across operations
  • Maintain consistency in:
    • Tone of voice
    • Terminougly, and messaging standards
  • Enhance CMS-driven workflows and operational efficiencies

Customer Experience & Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with:
    • UX, UI, CX Research, Analytics, Product, Development, and Strategy teams
  • Participate in:
    • Workshops, critiques, and stakeholder reviews
    • Design iterations and content iterations
  • Articulate content strategy and UX writing recommendations to both internal teams and clients
  • Balance user needs, business objectives, brand alignment, legal compliance, and technical constraints
  • Foster UX writing best practices and team collaboration

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

✔ Proven experience in:

  • UX Writing, Content Design, Digital Content, or related fields
  • Writing for complex digital environments (e.g., transactional web platforms, product experiences)
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams (UX, SEO, Analytics, Product, Development)

✔ Strong ability to:

  • Translate technical or complex information into clear, concise digital copy
  • Apply UX principles (usability, accessibility, content-first thinking, customer journey mapping)

✔ Expertise in:

  • Tone of voice development and brand-aligned messaging
  • Content optimisation strategies, including data-driven improvements
  • Working with CMS workflows and collaborative design tools (Figma)

✔ Stakeholder & presentation skills:

  • Advocacy for customer-centric improvements
  • Constructive engagement with leadership and clients

Bonus Knowledge

  • Automotive, retail, eCommerce, or tech industry experience (advantageous but not mandatory)
  • Strong familiarity with SEO and accessibility best practices
