About the Role
This Vaccines Account Manager role blends strong account management with scientific engagement, driving access, uptake, and optimal use of a product targeting infant populations across NHS Trusts in the UK.
The VAM will partner closely with the National Account Manager, focusing on maximising product utilisation following formulary inclusion. The role demands high execution IQ, influence at HCP levels, and scientific credibility to support implementation, reinforce value, and ensure enduring adoption.
Key objectives:
- Drive successful product adoption.
- Maintain HCP engagement and customer satisfaction.
- Foster sustained product usage within priority accounts.
Responsibilities
Account Support & Execution
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimise product utilisation.
- Execute local account plans, ensuring strong implementation and follow-through.
- Identify opportunities to expand product utilisation and improve patient access.

Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
- Build and sustain relationships with key HCPs, including:
- Neonatal Consultants
- Pharmacists
- Specialist Nurses
- Influence prescribing behaviour through evidence-based, differentiated insights.
- Establish trust and credibility via consistent, value-driven engagement.
Implementation & Uptake Support
- Assist NHS Trusts in practical product implementation.
- Provide ongoing post-initiation support:
- Share product insights and clinical information.
- Reinforce key value messages.
- Address usage challenges proactively.
- Drive behaviour change to support sustained prescribing and adoption.
Product Differentiation & Customer Experience
- Deliver compelling scientific messaging to highlight product advantages.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction through proactive, responsive service.
- Adapt engagement strategies to meet evolving customer needs.
Insights & Market Intelligence
- Gather real-world customer insights to refine future strategies.
- Share findings with cross-functional teams for strategic alignment.
- Monitor account performance and spot opportunities for optimisation.

Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Prior experience in rare disease or specialist healthcare sales, including the ability to deliver scientific messaging.
Key Skills
- Strong commercial acumen with a knack for identifying and executing opportunities.
- Proactive, resilient, and adaptable mindset.
- Exceptional verbal and digital communication capabilities.
- Agile customer engagement across diverse channels.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple accounts effectively.
- Confident, customer-centric, and solution-focused.
Preferred
- Scientific credibility as an account manager with experience in NHS engagement.
- Rare Disease / Neonatal, Paediatric, or Specialised Therapy domain expertise.
- Ability to influence prescribing behaviour, support formulary strategies, and refine customer strategies.
- Comfort collaborating with National Account Managers and cross-functional teams, driving insight-driven decision making.
