Job Purpose

This is a rare opportunity to be part of one of Aston Martin's most exciting programmes!

As a Valhalla Build Technician, you'll join the Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) team and play a hands-on role in bringing one of Aston Martin's most advanced vehicles to life. Working within a highly skilled and passionate team, you'll be involved in the assembly of prototype vehicles, launch vehicles and production models, ensuring every component is fitted to the exacting standards expected of the Aston Martin brand.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with precision, takes pride in craftsmanship and wants to be directly involved in building some of the most desirable performance vehicles in the world.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Valhalla Build Technician, you'll support daily build operations across multiple assembly stations, working closely with engineers, launch teams and fellow technicians throughout the build process.

  • You'll be responsible for assembling vehicles in line with approved processes and standards, ensuring every task is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality requirements.
  • Alongside vehicle assembly, you'll identify and escalate process issues, missing information and build concerns, helping to drive continuous improvement and support successful vehicle launches.
  • You'll work alongside engineers and product specialists to investigate build challenges, contribute to problem-solving activities and help implement practical solutions when issues arise.
  • Whether supporting trial fit activities, assisting with parts shortages, proving out new tooling and equipment or carrying out carbon fibre work, you'll play an important role in ensuring every vehicle is built correctly first time.
  • As the programme develops, you'll also support training activities for main line technicians, helping to share knowledge and best practice on new models and processes.
  • You'll contribute to Lean initiatives, housekeeping standards and first-line maintenance activities while remaining flexible to support wider team priorities when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience and Qualifications

We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for vehicle assembly and an eye for detail.

  • You'll have strong manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality.

  • Previous experience within vehicle assembly, automotive production, repair or maintenance environments would be highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Aston Martin's EASE system and assembly processes would be advantageous, as would general computer literacy.
  • An NVQ in Automotive Production, Repair or Maintenance would be desirable but is not essential. More important is your ability to learn quickly, work effectively as part of a team and support others through training and knowledge sharing.
