Job Summary:
This is a global role with a primary focus on delivering excellence in product validation data and services for our Single Use Technologies (SUT) customers.
Reporting to the Single Use Technologies Validation Manager, this will be a key role in the Global WMArchitect team and is part of the growing Strategic Business Development Function for Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS). The Validation Specialist (Single Use Technologies) will be responsible for owning customer Validation testing projects, and maintain the WMFTS high quality validation packages for our SUT customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will own and deliver customer validation projects through the Validation Testing Services program
- You will analyse validation testing data, both for customers and internal stakeholders, and create customer-facing validation reports
- You will liaise with third-party test houses to ensure validation testing is completed accurately and on time
- You will work with stakeholders across WMFTS to ensure Validation information for SUT components is accurate and consistent across internal and customer-facing platforms
- You will create and implement a validation testing schedule for WMFTS SUT components, collaborating with the Global Regulatory Manager to ensure regulatory compliance is maintained
- You will contribute to a detailed database of Validation information on third-party SUT components
- You will contribute to the maintenance of the WMArchitect Global sterility program
- You will become a Subject Matter Expert on the Validation Requirements of SUT in Biopharma, Cell Therapy and Gene Therapy and Food and Beverage.
- You will write and formalise Standard Operating Procedures in collaboration with the Global WMArchitect team
- You will represent the company at relevant meetings and conferences
- You will contribute to the company’s Together for Growth strategy.

Skills/Experience:
- A degree in a scientific subject or Engineering, or equivalent experience in a Scientific/Engineering background.
- A strong track record of validation experience, ideally within an area of life sciences (e.g. biopharma, pharmaceutics or medical devices).
- Experience in leading technical projects, including prioritisation skills, ability to manage stakeholders and working to tight timeframes
- Experience in analysing large datasets and writing customer-facing reports
- Excellent customer relationship skills and the ability to build good business relationships across a wide variety of cultures
