What you'll do

As a Value and Pricing Support Analyst at Sainsbury's, you will play a pivotal role within the Commercial Proposition team by providing strategic insights, recommendations, and decision-making support for pricing actions within our strategic frameworks. Your responsibilities will include:

You are a highly analytical thinker with a deep understanding of the retail market and a passion for leveraging data insights to drive commercial outcomes. Your ability to analyse large and diverse data sources, extract meaningful insights, and provide strategic recommendations enables you to support the development of pricing strategies and commercial planning processes. With your expertise in data manipulation, stakeholder management, and hypothesis-led thinking, you play a crucial role in influencing change and optimising channel pricing to align with the company's strategic framework and drive business success.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in analytical capability, with the ability to manipulate large and diverse data sources and extract meaningful insights to drive commercial outcomes
  • High proficiency in Excel and analytical tools, enabling effective data manipulation, pricing analysis, and the development of insight-led recommendations
  • Strategic and hypothesis-led thinking, supporting the development of pricing strategies and contributing to complex commercial problem-solving
  • Experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to influence change across the organisation and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
