We have been retained by a specialist manufacturer based in the Greater Manchester area to source a Value Stream Leader to lead the operational performance of a key manufacturing area. A fantastic opportunity to drive improvements across a growing SME manufacturer that is now part of a larger group.
Leading a multi-functional manufacturing team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end performance of your value stream, ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of products whilst driving a culture of continuous improvement:
- Lead the day-to-day performance of a manufacturing value stream, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Develop and implement initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality through Lean manufacturing.
- Establish a high-performance culture around accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Develop, coach, and mentor your team, and support the ongoing development of people throughout your team.
- Monitor and report on key operational KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to eliminate waste, improve processes, and maximize manufacturing performance.

An experienced manufacturing leader, you will have a proven track record of managing a value stream, production area, or manufacturing operation within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be proactive, engaging, and credible, with the ability to lead from the front and inspire those around you. Proven success in delivering improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost is essential. Experience of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, KPI management, and people development would be advantageous.
