Van Driver Role at Bodelwyddan Brakes

Working Hours

  • Monday - Friday
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays

Start Time

  • 6am

About the Role

Join us as a Van Driver at our Brakes Depot in Bodelwyddan and enjoy a professional driving career with world-class, award-winning training and high operational standards. We offer a level of security, stability, and opportunity that’s hard to find.

You’ll start with a thorough induction - then you'll be providing our customers a friendly, totally dedicated delivery service of food orders, taking care to resolve any issues along the way. It's a vital role, and it can be hard work, but a Brakes Van Driver makes it look easy!

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a friendly and dedicated delivery service of food orders
  • Accurately pick and deliver customer orders
  • Maintain product temperatures in a multi-temperature controlled vehicle
  • Awareness of Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Compliance
  • Ensure vehicle checks are completed to a high standard
  • Manual handling of food produce to the customers' premises
  • Comply with Health and Safety (SSOW), hygiene, and other related legislation

Requirements

  • Full driver's license
  • Extensive road knowledge of the local area
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge and initiative to solve basic problems and make routine decisions
