Van Driver
Van Driver – AM Shift (Hemel Hempstead)
Base salary: £13.35/hour (£27,000, including 11% London weighting) Overtime: Paid at x1.5 for hours over 45 weekly Bonus scheme: Eligible for Van Driver Bonus
What You’ll Do
You’ll be part of our critical distribution operation. Your core responsibilities include:
- Transporting stock between:
- Our Distribution Centres
- Third-party suppliers
- Retail stores (Next outlets)
- Upholding a "Safety First" mindset:
- Never compromising safety for deliveries
- Protection of public and colleagues’ well-being
- Daily vehicle checks to ensure:
- Safety standards are met
- Vehicle is clean and tidy
- Operating on a 5-days-out-of-7 schedule (including weekends)
- Shift timing: 05:00 – 08:00
- Hours: +35/weekly
What You’ll Bring ( Requirements & Qualifications )
- Team player with strong customer service skills
- Accountability for:
- Your vehicle’s condition
- Safe and proper handling of van loads
- Driver’s license eligibility:
- Maximum 6 penalty points
- No disqualifications
- Computer-literate
