Are you a reliable and customer-focused Van Driver looking to join a friendly, hardworking team? Do you enjoy being out on the road, providing excellent service and playing an important part in a busy branch? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for a Van Driver to join our Kings Langley branch. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for delivering building materials safely and efficiently in a 3.5t dropside vehicle, while supporting the wider branch team to ensure excellent service for our customers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering building materials safely and efficiently to customers across the local area.
- Picking orders and loading and unloading your vehicle safely and accurately.
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly.
- Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork and reporting returns, shortages or discrepancies.
- Collecting payments where required in line with company procedures.
- Keeping your vehicle clean, tidy and well maintained.
- Providing outstanding customer service and representing Lords professionally at every delivery.
- Following all road traffic legislation, company driving policies and Health & Safety procedures.
- Supporting stock movement and assisting with general branch duties when required.

What We’re Looking For
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience in a delivery driving role, ideally within builders' merchants or a similar industry.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, organised and able to manage your workload effectively.
- Good awareness of health and safety and safe manual handling practices.
- A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
- Strong timekeeping and a professional approach.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
Hours: 7am-5pm Monday to Friday, 7am-12pm alternate Saturdays
Holiday: 21 days plus Bank Holidays
Salary: Competitive
