Van Driver - Multi Drop Bagged Waste Collections

Description

Enva Recycling Scotland is hiring a Multi Drop Bagged Waste Van Driver to join the Linwood depot on a permanent basis.
Monday-Friday, 5am to 3pm with eligibility for overtime

In this role, you will safely and competently operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes in a timely, professional and customer focused manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents, and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence.
  • Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept.
  • Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns.
  • Waste Transportation: Operate HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
  • Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway.
  • The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature.
  • Ensure that health, safety, and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures, and Instructions.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
  • Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
