Multi-Drop Van Driver – Birmingham
Major Recruitment are recruiting experienced level Multi Drop Van Drivers for a reputable workplace in Birmingham. This opportunity is perfect for someone looking to support a trusted supplier of perishable items.
Benefits of the Role
- Shift pattern: Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays
- Start time: 05:00–06:00
- Payment: Weekly
- Hour-based shifts: 8–10 hours
- Delivery demand: 5–15 drops per day

Key Responsibilities
Daily tasks include but are not limited to:
- Operating and driving a van safely and efficiently (to/from delivery locations)
- Conducting required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring timely, safe, and professional deliveries to customer sites
- Adhering to driving/working hours regulations
- Coordinating effectively with dispatch and customers
- Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance needs promptly
- Maintaining a clean and tidy van and equipment

Essential Requirements
- Must hold a valid UK driving licence for at least 12 months+
- Prior experience in recent multi-drop delivery work
- Driver record with:
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No major endorsement codes (e.g., disqualifications)
- English proficiency – Must be able to speak and read English comprehensively
- Punctuality: Strong timekeeping and workshop attendance
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to cover overtime as required
- Adaptable to working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
- Competent in using basic computer systems

Desirable Experience
- Driving other commercial vehicles (e.g., vans, luggage-handling transports)
Note:
- Self-transport may be needed if start times are variable due to operational changes
