Van Pack Operative – North & Central Wales
We’re expanding! Following a recent contract win with Welsh Water, Lanes Group is recruiting Van Pack Operatives across North & Central Wales. A fantastic opportunity to join a growing team delivering industry-leading drainage solutions and supporting one of our most exciting clients. If you’re hands-on, customer-focused, and eager to develop specialist skills, we want to hear from you.
About the Role
Salary: £12.71 – £13 per hour (depending on experience) Working hours: 45 hours per week, including on-call duties Location: Kimnel Bay
This role sits at the heart of operational delivery, focusing on proactive and reactive maintenance of wastewater networks for AMP8 objectives.

Responsibilities
As a Van Pack Operative, your key responsibilities include:
Customer Interaction
- Attend customer sites to communicate planned works
- Provide reassurance and answer questions on-site
Drainage Operations
- Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or structural issues
- Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clear and clean systems
- Adjust pressure levels based on blockage type (e.g., grease, debris, roots)
- Assist with CCTV surveys as required
- Report findings digitally to operational teams

Data & Safety
- Complete digital data entry using laptops or tablets
- Report safety issues in compliance with company procedures
- Perform routine jetting equipment checks and maintenance
This role involves outdoor work, problem-solving, and collaborative teamwork—ideal for someone who thrives on varied fieldwork.
Experience & Qualifications
(Desirable but not essential unless specified)
✔ Full UK driving licence (required) ✔ WJA Red or Blue Book ✔ Banksman ✔ Manual Handling certification ✔ Emergency First Aid ✔ NRSWA qualification ✔ EUSR National Water Hygiene ✔ Medium Risk Confined Space experience
