Support Workers
Support workers required for various contracts in new service, working for an independent employer.
Rota hours can be flexible in order to be of optimal benefit to both staff and the service. This can be discussed further at interview.
I am a man in my thirties, living in Largs, North Ayrshire. I am autistic and I have a learning disability. At times, due to my autism, I need to rely heavily on structure, routine and predictability to keep me feeling safe and secure. It is essential to me that we can build a strong relationship and create trust so that I can fully relax and get the best out of life. When I have confidence in the people around me I am a very laidback, fun-loving, easy-going person and I’m happy to give most things a shot, indoors or outdoors. I love music and dance, swimming, trampolining and or even unwinding in my flat, doing a bit of baking or some arts and crafts. I thrive on fun and interaction and I’m at my best when I feel well-supported and understood.
I am looking for a team of people who are caring, compassionate, patient and most importantly, willing to take the time to get to really know and understand me. I am non-verbal so it is very important to me that my staff have strong clear verbal communication skills as well as a desire to get to know my own ways of communication.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
Supporting me to lead an independent and fulfilling life. Supporting me to take part in activities that are important to me.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
