Who is Samaggi Samagom?

Samaggi Samagom, under the Royal Patronage, is the non-profit Thai Students’ Association in the UK and the world’s largest Thai student association abroad. We work with the Royal Thai Embassy in London, the Office of Education Affairs, Thai societies across the UK and Europe, and many of Thailand’s leading companies to bring career opportunities, social events, and Thai students in the UK closer to home.

Our work spans many areas, including hosting our annual careers fair attended by 800+ students and representatives from over ten companies, as well as events like Samaggi Fest and Samaggi Games, which collectively bring over 1,500 Thais across the UK.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What it’s like working for Samaggi Samagom

Our team is made up of over 90 students from universities across the UK, many of whom join Samaggi knowing few people outside their group. Because of that, we put a lot of emphasis on building a genuine community alongside the work we do. Throughout the year there are staff socials, our annual Staff First Meet, department gatherings, and regular staff dinners, giving you plenty of opportunities to get to know people from across the organisation. Depending on your role, you may also have opportunities to attend events hosted by the Royal Thai Embassy or partner organisations as a Samaggi representative, meeting people you wouldn't normally get the chance to as a student!

You will get to work on real issues with real people, so different weeks can feel very different. However, there is usually space for you to shift work around your university schedule, and we respect that your studies are a priority.

We endeavour to make sure that you’re heard and that your expertise and interest are recognised, no matter which team you’re in. This means that there’s a lot of flexibility in how you tackle your tasks and what you want to do, even if that’s sometimes not strictly in your job description. In fact, many of the events, systems, and policies we have today began as initiatives by one of our officers who were simply interested in them.

We encourage people from outside London to apply too! We cover travel costs (usually train) for any staff who needs to travel to in-person events or for work-related reasons.

We also firmly believe that work experience isn’t everything. Whilst your CV and past experiences matter, we will still encourage you to apply if you're passionate about working with us or in this area, even if you’ve done it before. Also, whilst we take our work seriously, we don't take ourselves too seriously. We want Samaggi to be somewhere people genuinely enjoy spending their time, not somewhere that feels like another part-time office job.

Apart from that, you will get exclusive discounts, early access to tickets or free entry to our events. You will also receive a named badge and a staff shirt, both with a fresh new design every year.
