About the Opportunity
R&D Partners is seeking a VAT Compliance Specialist to join our client's Tax Center of Excellence (COE) team in Europe. In this role, you will manage VAT reporting and compliance for various European and international markets while ensuring all internal and external deadlines are met. You will also provide guidance on VAT-related queries and maintain up-to-date knowledge of local VAT legislation. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, high-performing environment with exposure to international tax operations.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare VAT returns and other indirect tax reports using tools like Excel or tax preparation software.
- Obtain necessary approvals for VAT submissions, process payment requests, and archive documentation.
- Reconcile VAT General Ledger accounts and address any discrepancies.
- Ensure reported VAT sales align with General Ledger sales and resolve any issues.
- Address VAT compliance queries from internal teams.
- Support the preparation of VAT-related documents and assist with system testing for tax technology updates.
- Monitor changes in VAT legislation and update processes accordingly.
- Maintain VAT codes and tables in accounting systems.
- Assist with VAT audits and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
- Contribute to standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Skills and Requirements:
- Experience in VAT compliance within a multinational environment.
- Familiarity with SAP or Oracle systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering results.
- Fluency in English.
