VAT Compliance Analyst – Global VAT Team (GVAT) | RSM UK

Join our Global VAT Team (GVAT) as a VAT Compliance Analyst, supporting high-quality, centralised VAT services for clients across the UK and EU. Your role will bridge the compliance lifecycle—from client onboarding to managing cross-jurisdictional obligations—ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective VAT return filings while enhancing efficiency and driving cross-team collaboration.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Acting as the primary VAT point of contact for clients, ensuring all indirect tax compliance needs are met.
- Managing and documenting VAT processes for seamless execution across jurisdictions.
- Analysing client data to identify VAT risks and opportunities while working with global VAT specialists to deliver tailored solutions.
- Collaborating with colleagues in a high-performing, knowledge-sharing environment that upholds the highest service standards.
- Continuously improving VAT processes through automation and efficiency projects to enhance client experience.

What’s Required
We’re Looking For:
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re:
- Passionate about VAT compliance with strong technical knowledge of UK and EU VAT regulations.
- A process improvement champion, keen to apply your skills to VAT technology and automation.
- Fluent with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- An ambitious, relationship-driven professional who values collaboration and global client needs.
- Eager to take on a clear career progression path within VAT compliance.

Ideal candidates will bring a blend of:
✔ Statistical/technical understanding of VAT (UK & EU) ✔ Process-driven mindset with an appetite for innovation ✔ Education: Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or VAT Specialist qualification preferred ✔ Technical certifications in VAT and indirect tax compliance (Big 4/VAT tech advantage considered)
