Role Overview
Step into a key position within VAT compliance at RSM UK as a VAT Compliance Analyst in our Global VAT Team (GVAT).
As a VAT Compliance Analyst, you will support the delivery of high-quality, centralised VAT services for a diverse portfolio of international clients across the UK and EU. You’ll act as a trusted point of contact throughout the compliance lifecycle—from onboarding clients to managing VAT obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
Working closely with global stakeholders, you’ll ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective VAT return delivery, identify opportunities to enhance VAT efficiency, and contribute to continuous process improvements in collaboration with RSM specialists.

Key Responsibilities
You will make an impact by:
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, overseeing their indirect tax compliance requirements and ensuring all VAT filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Supporting the seamless setup, maintenance, and documentation of VAT processes to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance across jurisdictions.
- Reviewing and analysing client data to spot potential VAT risks or opportunities, and working closely with global VAT specialists to deliver tailored solutions that meets client needs.
- Collaborating closely with colleagues to build a supportive, high-performing team environment where knowledge is shared and service standards remain consistently high.
- Contributing to the enhancement of VAT processes by participating in efficiency and automation projects that strengthen service delivery and improve client experience.

Requirements
You’ll thrive in this role if you:

- Spot inefficiencies in everyday life and are keen on making improvements.
- Have strong VAT technical skills, with experience in EU and UK Compliance.
- Possess a talent for process improvement and VAT technology enablement.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Exhibit solid relationship management and communication skills, with an appreciation for global client needs.
- Are ambitious, motivated, and ready to take on a clear progression path in VAT compliance.
