We are defined by our purpose—to help navigate challenges, unlock potential, and achieve the extraordinary.Job DescriptionWhat will you be doing?We're seeking a talented individual at Senior Manager level to join our VAT Tax Team in the North, which is responsible for providing VAT compliance and advisory services for a wide range of business clients.You will be managing your own portfolio of clients, working with Directors or alone on complicated consultancy and advisory projects. A significant part of the role will be managing client relationships and identifying opportunities on existing clients as well as potentially developing a specialist field of technical and/or sector knowledge and expertise.As a Senior Manager your responsibilities will include; Overseeing complex VAT projects and engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfactionDeveloping and implementing VAT strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize efficiency Providing expert advice on VAT matters to clients, including multinational corporations and high-net-worth individualsLeading and managing a team of VAT professionals, providing mentorship and guidance to develop their skills and expertiseStaying up-to-date with changes in VAT legislation and communicate implications to clients Collaborating with other tax and advisory teams to provide comprehensive solutions to clientsContributing to business development initiatives, including proposal writing and client presentationsManaging client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on VAT-related mattersIdentifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of VAT operationsQualificationsSkills and ExperienceProven experience in VAT consulting or corporate tax rolesProven track record of successfully leading and managing teamsAdvanced knowledge of VAT regulations and complianceIn-depth understanding of VAT legislation and its practical applicationStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated project management skillsExperience in building and maintaining client relationshipsStrong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldProfessional tax qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA)Additional InformationAs a colleague here at S&W you will have access to benefits that includeCompetitive salaryPrivate medical insuranceLife assurancePension contributionHybrid working model (role dependent)Generous holiday packageOption to purchase additional holidayShared parental leaveFully funded training towards professional qualificationsCycle to work schemeSeason ticket loanEye care supportWe are proud to value the differences that a diverse workforce brings, representative of society and our clients.
