About The Role
We are seeking a skilled VB.NET Web Developer to join our dedicated development team. In this role, you will work closely with the core team on HotLizard’s suite of products, focusing on developing new features, enhancing user experience, and advancing our platform using the latest technologies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for software development, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of our online recruitment platforms, ensuring they remain innovative, reliable, and user-friendly. Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess at least 3 years of professional experience working with VB.NET. A strong understanding of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL is essential. Candidates should demonstrate self-motivation and a drive to achieve project goals, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are also required. Desirable qualifications include experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC. Familiarity with IIS, WebAPI, jQuery, unit testing, and source control tools such as TFS will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using VB.NET, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features and improvements.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure code quality and functionality.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Assist in integrating third-party APIs and services to enhance platform capabilities.
- Maintain documentation of development processes, code, and technical specifications.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our products.
- Support the deployment and ongoing maintenance of applications in a live environment.
