Vehicle CCTV & Telematics Engineer (2 positions available)

Location: Field-based across London and Bedford

Are you an experienced vehicle CCTV or telematics engineer who enjoys solving technical problems and working independently in the field?

We are looking for a skilled Vehicle CCTV & Telematics Engineer to join our field engineering team, supporting customer fleets across London and Bedford.

This is a hands-on position for someone with solid experience installing, maintaining, and fault-finding vehicle CCTV, dashcams, DVR/MDVR systems, and telematics technology. You will take ownership of service visits and installations, ensuring systems work correctly and customer vehicles are returned to service with minimal downtime.

The Role

You will work across a varied fleet of vans, HGVs, buses, and specialist vehicles, delivering a professional service to both new and existing customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing and commissioning vehicle CCTV, dashcams, cameras, DVR/MDVR systems, and telematics devices.
  • Carrying out planned maintenance, reactive service work, and technical fault diagnosis.
  • Troubleshooting vehicle electrical, connectivity, recording, and system-related issues.
  • Working independently in the field with minimal supervision.
  • Using remote diagnostics and software platforms to investigate and resolve faults.
  • Completing accurate job sheets, service reports, and installation records.
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and site professionalism.
  • Supporting customer uptime by resolving issues efficiently and correctly.
  • Providing guidance and practical support to junior engineers where required.

What We’re Looking For

You will need hands-on experience within vehicle CCTV, telematics installation, or a closely related auto-electrical environment.

You will also need:

  • Strong installation, service, and fault-finding experience.
  • Experience working with vehicle CCTV, dashcams, DVR/MDVR, or connected fleet technology.
  • Good knowledge of vehicle electrics and safe wiring practices.
  • Confidence working across different commercial and specialist vehicle types.
  • The ability to manage field-based work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
  • A professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Experience with live-view camera systems, AI cameras, ADAS-related products, DSM, DVS, or fleet safety technology would be particularly valuable.

IPAF, PASMA, working-at-height awareness, or an industry-recognised auto-electrical or engineering qualification would also be beneficial.

You will be successful in this role by:

  • Completing installations correctly the first time.
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults quickly and efficiently.
  • Minimising customer vehicle downtime.
  • Maintaining accurate records and professional site standards.
  • Delivering an excellent service to key customers.
  • Supporting the wider engineering team and sharing your technical knowledge.

Working Arrangements

This is a field-based role involving regular travel across London and Bedford. Due to customer requirements and site access, flexibility will be needed around start and finish times, travel, occasional overtime, and some Saturday work.
