Description
As a vehicle Inspector and valuer, you will be working together with the sales team, you are fully responsible and accountable for negotiating car valuations for our customers’ existing vehicles.
You will enjoy and be confident talking to our customers and delivering used car valuations with passion and understanding with your newly found knowledge.
What will you do
- Greet Customers in a professional and confident manner.
- Complete a thorough and accurate appraisal of potential part exchange vehicles using an auction valuation app.
- Complete HPI checks.
- Review the MOT and Service History of potential part exchange vehicles.
- Obtain online retail valuations for those vehicles qualifying as retail vehicles.
- Obtain online auction valuations for those vehicles qualifying as auction vehicles.
- Liaise with Sales Managers to upload part exchange valuations onto the Company’s internal dashboard system.
- Receive and process incoming part exchange vehicles from the Handover Team.
- Move incoming part exchange vehicles into the correct designated areas.
- Scan all vehicle documents onto the internal system.
- Liaise with Senior Branch Management to arrange for the collection of part exchange vehicles from site.
- Conduct any other reasonable duties as requested.

Essential Skills
- Hold a Full UK Driving Licence - Any job offer that requires driving company vehicles is subject to a DVLA check, and applicants with six or more penalty points or a previous disqualification may not meet our insurance requirements and therefore may not be eligible for employment.
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- An understanding of car makes and models
- Customer focused with excellent communication skills
- Have an eye for detail
- Ability to persuade and negotiate
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Have excellent administration skills

This is a face to face job and there is no lead generating, prospecting or phone sales involved. We supply a constant stream of customers with cars that need to be valued.
