If you join us, you’ll play a pivotal role as a Vehicle Mechanic at Leconfield, near Hull, in East Riding.
The role involves maintaining and repairing military vehicles and electrical equipment, directly supporting the UK’s defence capabilities. As a Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll ensure our fleet is operational, while developing your skills within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing, repairing, and overhauling military vehicles and electrical systems
- Diagnosing, inspecting, and assessing vehicles and associated equipment
- Ensuring the correct use of stores and returning unused or faulty items
- Creating job cards and requesting materials using ERP (SAP) systems
- Completing documentation and test certificates to current standards
Critical Note: The successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.
Physical Work Involved: This role involves manual work, including lifting, bending, using tools, or standing for extended periods of time.

Working Conditions: This position is a full-time, permanent role based onsite at Leconfield. Working hours are set from Monday to Friday, totalling 37 hours per week, with flexible working hours available. A relocation package may be available, subject to eligibility.
Essential Requirements
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar mechanical role
- Experience in a dealer/garage environment
- Knowledge of hydraulics
- Ability to adapt, build rapport across teams, and demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Service and Repair
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must achieve and maintain a Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
