About the Role
Our modern Level 3 apprenticeship is an ideal opportunity for you to develop skills for life and work with an organisation that has ambitions to grow, where you’ll be able to maximise your career potential.
What will the apprentice be doing?
Working in a safe and clean environment you will learn:
- All aspects of modern vehicle repair methods
- Vehicle refinishing techniques
- How to use state-of-the-art equipment
- Repair excellence and quality
- Communication skills
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
Course Contents
- Ability to undertake appropriate job preparation prior to commencing repair e.g. substrate surface preparation, paint volume calculation etc
- Ability to correctly identify the substrate materials to be refinished e.g. plastic, steel, aluminium etc
- Ability to interpret relevant technical data and methods to create paint manufacturer specified application
- Ability to use refinishing materials following paint manufacturer specifications to reinstate vehicle finish back to high quality
- Ability to identify and operate the correct repair tools, equipment and devices used in the process e.g. mixing systems, paint booths, UV lamps, and spray equipment

Your training takes place both at the workplace and at one of the UK’s most highly regarded training centres on block release. You will undertake a variety of additional online training during the apprenticeship. Your endpoint assessment will be the final stage of achieving a level 3 apprenticeship.
Essential Qualifications
- GCSE in:
- English Language (grade 5-9 or equivalent)
- ICT (grade 5-9 or equivalent)
- Maths (grade 5-9 or equivalent)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
Other Requirements
We will be looking for those who can demonstrate reliability, strong work ethic, and dedication to complete the apprenticeship and further their career within the automotive sector.
