Service and Maintenance Technician
Location: Vertu SEAT Derby
About the Role
Join our team at Vertu SEAT Derby and become a valued Service and Maintenance Technician.
We are offering a basic salary between £28,840 & £36,200, depending on skills and experience, based on a 40-hour working week. Saturdays are paid as overtime, with additional opportunities for over-performance bonuses.
As an extra incentive, we are providing:
- A £1,000 sign-on bonus
- A further £1,000 after 14 months of employment
In this vital role, you will be instrumental in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. We are expanding our team and are seeking skilled individuals who take pride in their work. Here, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining, servicing, and repairing vehicles to the highest standards
- Handling tasks from straightforward servicing to complex repairs
- Ensuring quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes—fulfilling our core values
Responsibilities
- Diagnosing vehicle faults through professional testing and tools
- Conducting full servicing of all vehicles efficiently
- Carrying out repairs to OE (Original Equipment) specification
- Performing routine MOT checks, pre-MOT preparation, and full MOT testing
- Following detailed vehicle procedures and technical bulletins
- Assisting customers with vehicle recommendations, maintenance schedules, and servicing requirements
- Maintaining a clean and organised working space
- Ensuring high standards of product-knowledge and technical expertise

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:
- Relevant formal qualification in Automotive (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3)
- Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
- Preferred (but not essential): A valid MOT licence
- Your own set of tools
- A full UK driving licence
