Level 3 Service Technician
Location: Leeds Ford
Contract Details
- Type: Permanent, full-time
- Salary: OTE up to £52,480 (uncapped), basic range between £34,000–£38,000, plus:
- £3,000 Productivity Bonus
- £3,000 Time Saved Bonus Scheme
- Hours: 40/hour (Mon–Fri: 8:30am–5:00pm) + 1 in 3 Saturdays (8:30am–12:30pm)
About the Role
Lookers Leeds Ford is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our exceptional workshop. As part of a skilled team, you’ll:
- Perform vehicle health checks using the latest technologies
- Conduct vehicle services and repairs
- Collaborate closely with the Aftersales Manager for ongoing support
- Benefit from manufacturer-accredited training, including Hybrid & Electric vehicle qualifications

Responsibilities

Vehicle Inspections & Checks
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new/used vehicles
- Conduct checks aligned with manufacturer guidelines
- Fit customer-requested accessories
- Perform vehicle health checks and address further work requirements
- Test lights, tyre pressure, mechanical, and electrical systems

Repairs & Services
- Complete minor repairs on new/used vehicles
- Undertake basic diagnosis (mechanical/electrical)
- Conduct vehicle services per manufacturer/customer specifications
- Perform customer-authorised repairs
- Ensure warranty repairs comply with manufacturers’ rules and documentation

Operator Engagement
- Take vehicles for road tests to verify all aspects are functioning properly
- Maintain pristine adherence to administrative and legal documentation
Requirements & Qualifications
✅ Essential:
- Experienced Mechanic or qualified Vehicle Technician
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence
- Self-motivation, driven ambition, and the ability to deliver at the highest standards
✅ Preferred but not mandatory:
- Experience working with vehicle brands (training is provided)
Note: All offers are awarded upon successfully passing a 6-month probation period and reasonable employment background, criminal, and driving checks.
