Vehicle Technician
Location: Lookers, BMW Stafford
Role Summary
Lookers BMW Stafford are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their fantastic workshop. You will play a vital role working alongside experienced technicians:
- Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
- Conducting vehicle services in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
- Performing authorized repairs
- Conducting road tests to ensure all faults are rectified
- Completing relevant paperwork and warranty compliance
Key Responsibilities

Health Checks & Services
- Carry out vehicle health checks using advanced diagnostics
- Conduct vehicle servicing according to manufacturers’ guidelines and customer specifications

Repairs & Customer Experience
- Perform authorised additional repairs and ensure warranty compliance
- Drive customers’ vehicles on test drives to confirm fault rectification
- Deliver an outstanding customer service experience with every visit

Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and thorough paperwork adhering to the highest standards
- Work within manufacturer warranty criteria and licensing rules

Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
- Full and valid UK driving licence
- Proven performance in automotive services (dealership or independent setting)
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and ambitious with a commitment to high standards
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in BMW or recognised automotive brands (development training available)
- Diagnostic, MOT, and EV experience (desirable but not essential)

Benefits
Competitive Compensation
- OTE up to £41,230 (including £3,000 Productivity Bonus + uncapped Time Saved Bonus Scheme)
- £34,000 base salary plus bonuses
Hours
- 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
- 1x fortnight Saturday shifts (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM)
