We are now looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our Land Rover workshop in Belfast—a key role supporting the integrity and quality of our premium vehicles. If you are motivated, technically skilled, and eager to grow, this opportunity is for you.
Key Information
- Location: Charles Hurst Land Rover, Belfast
- Hours:
- 4-day working week (shift rostered)
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Tuesday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 1 Saturday per month (on rota): 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Salary:
- OTE (On Target Earn): £42,000–£50,000
- Basic pay: £32,000–£40,000
- Bonus potential: Up to £6,600
- Annual salary review
Key Responsibilities
You will work as part of a dedicated, expert workshop team, ensuring every vehicle within our care meets the highest standards in safety, performance, and reliability. Your responsibilities include:
- Carrying out comprehensive vehicle health checks using cutting-edge diagnostic tools and technology
- Conducting full vehicle services in alignment with manufacturer guidelines and customer specifications
- Diagnosing and carrying out authorised repair work, ensuring all rectifications meet or exceed OEM standards
- Completing warranty repairs as per manufacturer protocols and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Road testing vehicles after major repairs to verify fault resolution and customer satisfaction
- Upholding strict adherence to health and safety standards and workshop procedures
- Maintaining accurate, high-quality paperwork and documentation for every vehicle processed
You will report to the Aftersales Manager, who will provide consistent support, mentorship, and resources to excel in your role.

Requirements & Qualifications
The perfect candidate will bring a blend of technical skill, professionalism, and adaptability, looking to thrive in both an independent yet collaborative environment. To apply, you should have:
Essential Criteria:
✅ NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent qualification)**** ✅ Proven motor industry experience (either brand or dealership context) ✅ Full and valid driving licence (as operating/inspecting vehicles is a core task) ✅ Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality ✅ Ambitious and eager to learn, with a proactive attitude towards professional growth ✅ Attention to detail to maintain the highest standards in repairs and checks
Nice-to-Have:
✅ Experience in Land Rover vehicles would be advantageous ✅ Knowledge of any manufacturer-reporting tools ✅ Comfort with AMA (Advanced Manufacturer Processes)
