On-target earnings: Up to £44,010 Comprising:
- Base salary: £34,030 – £38,710
- Uncapped monthly bonus scheme (average £5,300 additional earnings per year)
- 5 days a week (Centre closed on Sundays)
- Potential earnings boost via refer a friend scheme (Terms & Conditions apply)
About the Role
Here at Halfords, we’re seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our team. If you’re an experienced mechanic with a passion for excellent customer experience and ensuring vehicles stay safe on the road—we want to hear from you.
As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, you’ll be responsible for:
- Performing MOT tests to DVSA standards
- Completing a range of vehicle maintenance and repair work, from advanced diagnostics and complex repairs to routine servicing
- Ensuring every task is executed to the highest standard

Skills & Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Valid MOT Testing License
- Full UK driver’s licence (no more than 9 points)
