Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester – On-Target Earnings up to £41,700
- Likely to earn up to £41,700 annually
- Base salary: £34,900
- Average uncapped monthly bonus: ~£6,800 per year
- 5 days per week (centre closed Sundays)
- Refer your friend scheme – additional earnings available (T&Cs apply)
About the Role
Here at Halfords Garage Services, we’re recruiting for a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our new Fusion Centre—fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and dedicated to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
This role is perfect if you’re an experienced mechanic with a passion for vehicle safety and customer service. Whether conducting MOT tests, diagnostics, or routine repairs, you’ll ensure every vehicle on the road is roadworthy.
Responsibilities
- Carry out DVSA-standard MOT tests
- Perform a broad range of vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work
- Conduct routine services and advanced repairs to the highest standards

Skills & Requirements
- IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience)
- Valid MOT Testing Licence
- Full driving licence (no more than 9 penalty points)
